The Most Effective Acne Treatment May Not Be the Most
Expensive
Are you looking for an acne cure? Have you
tried all the different types of treatments that a beauty
consultant and a dermatologist told you about and still
the treatment just doesn’t work for you? Well, this is the
story of most of us who have haplessly spent huge amounts
of our hard earned money on fancy treatments which work
only while we keep going back to the clinic. But have you
ever wondered why it is so? Well, I’ll just share a small
story here with you which I read some time back in a Roman
story book.
The story goes like this. In a particular year during the
winter months half of the city’s population fell ill. After a
lot of investigation and research, the king came to know that
it was the city with the maximum number of doctors. The king
immediately ordered that all the doctors be hanged. Most of the
city’s population was declared absolutely healthy within days
of the hanging of the first few doctors. I hope you must have
got the meaning by now.
Acne is a disease which has got no permanent cure and therefore
how so very expensive the treatment may be it still is just
temporary. There are many cures which cost far less and still
work more or less as effectively as their costlier
counterparts.
For example there are many lotions and other acne treatment
programs like Zenmed’s Derma Cleanse which costs just under
$100, Clear Pores which costs about $80 and is purely herbal or
Proactiv Acne Treatment which costs close to $60. Now compare
all these programs with a single sitting of Laser Resurfacing
technique which costs anywhere from $3000 to $5000.
Apart from that acne can also be cured by many homemade
remedies. Aloe Vera has been proven to cure acne if consumed
regularly. It helps in the reduction of toxin levels in the
body which ultimately leads to reduction of acne.
Green tea extracts similarly contains anti oxidants which fight
the free radicals in the skin and the toxins present in the
body to help in the reduction of acne.
Another very commonly used acne treatment in the Asian sub
continent is cloves. Clove paste not only acts as a
disinfectant and anti-bacterial but also helps in opening the
pores of the skin which give way to the formation of new
skin.
Another great make-at-home remedy for acne is juice of bitter
gourd. It is no doubt very bitter but is an effective blood
cleanser which ultimately helps to reduce the acne.
Most of these make-at-home remedies barely cost a few dollars
and are as effective as any other treatment for much less. It
is just a myth that the costlier the solution the better it
is.
