How Good is a Herbal Acne
Treatment?
Acne is one of the most commonly reported skin
related ailments today. And very obviously whoever amongst
us suffers from acne wants a cure for it. But often we are
confused about what kind of treatment to go for, like
should you go for the herbal treatment or should you opt
for antibiotics and other chemicals based lotions.
Here we have found out some of the traditional and herbal
treatments used for centuries to treat acne.
One of the oldest treatments for acne all over the world is
Aloe Vera. This magic herb is claimed to cure just about any
disease that exists on the planet. Basically Aloe Vera help in
removing the toxins from the body which affect the various
metabolic and other process inside our bodies. By doing so the
balance of various nutrients and essential vitamins and
minerals is restored in the body thereby increasing the
immunity. Acne is also caused because of higher levels of
toxins in the body which is negated by Aloe Vera. But it is
definitely not a herb that’ll show it’s effect in a few days or
weeks but it definitely is a no-side-effect method of herbal
acne treatment.
Acne can also be cured by drinking the juice of bitter gourd.
Yes, as the name suggests, it is very bitter but it is very
effective against acne. Bitter gourd cleanses the blood by
removing the toxins from the bloodstream.
Another effective treatment for curing acne the herbal way is
by using the extracts of Neem, also called Margosa. The
extracts of the leaves and fruit of this tree work as an
effective anti-septic when applied on the skin and act as a
toxin ejecting agent when drunk in a solution of water. No
doubt, that it is also bitter like bitter gourd but it also
acts without fail.
Chinese have been using herbal green tea for centuries to keep
their skin healthy and glowing. Green tea is said to contain
anti-oxidants which open the pores of the skin and help to
throw the toxins out of the body. And green tea definitely has
a very typical flavor which will definitely strike your taste
buds if you like tea.
People in Indian sub-continent have been using cloves and
sandal wood paste for centuries now to cure acne and many other
skin related diseases. Clove paste is an effective anti-septic
and also opens up the pores of the skin for removal of dirt and
giving way for new skin.
Sandalwood acts as a cooling agent for the acne related itching
and therefore is generally used in combination with clove
paste.
Whatever the herbal way may be, one thing is sure that it will
take some time for the results to show. It is effective no
doubt, but if you are in a hurry then use them as supplement to
your treatment because it does not interfere with any kind of
antibiotic or other medications.
