Is it Smart to Try a Holistic Acne
Treatment?
Well as far as acne and holistic treatment is
considered I wouldn’t say that it would be foolish to try
it out. Again like herbal treatment, holistic treatment
might again take some time but it is more or less free of
any kind of side effects. There are many different types
of holistic treatments but they should always be done only
by an expert otherwise it may cause permanent damage to
your body.
But what are the various types of holistic treatments? Before
we answer that it is important to understand the meaning of the
word holistic. Holistic means whole, comprising or involving
all aspects, complete etc. In holistic treatments the whole
body is considered as ailing and not just the visible affected
area. Therefore, when the treatment is done, it is effective
only when all of your mind and body is involved.
One of the most widely used holistic treatments is acupuncture.
While there is no backing for this treatment from any of the
medical bodies of the world, this technique has been used for
centuries in oriental world. There are claims that it has cured
some of the diseases like cancer, deafness etc. which are
considered incurable. Acupuncture can also help in curing acne
because it also helps to remove the excess heat and toxins from
the body.
Another holistic treatment to cure acne could be Biofeedback.
It is also called as cognitive imagery. The main idea behind
this treatment method is that stress tends to release chemicals
in our body which worsen the condition of the disease or say
acne in our body. Although not proven as yet, many texts found
from Vedic era in India claim that all the world’s diseases and
the cures lie within the human body. Their idea of treatment of
any disease is by letting it go and just telling yourself that
you are absolutely fine. This tends to release calming hormones
and chemicals in the body which obviously aid in a faster
recovery.
While there have been hundreds of cases around the world where
people on whom the doctors had given up after years of
treatment got cured with just months of holistic treatment, its
credibility cannot be verified.
So while it definitely is a smart idea to try out some kind of
a holistic treatment but my suggestion would be to use it as a
supplement to your existing treatment or with any treatment
that you are planning to undergo. And I say so because will
definitely not interfere with your allopathic or any other
treatment.
